On Monday I’m moving in to my own room in a new apartment. I’ve been “homeless” for the past two months while I get settled in with a job, saving up for rent and everything. Thankfully, a few friends have helped along the way and now it’s time to leave the bird’s nest. Now with the thought of a new room, the possibilities of decorating it and making it my own have been crossing my mind all the time.

Unfortunately, there is absolutely no budget to spend money on decorative items right now but I’ve been making a list of a few things that I absolutely have to have even if I can’t eat for a couple of days. (ok that’s a bit overdoing it, but you know what I mean) So, the other day when I was walking by 24th street in Noe Valley on my way to work, I spotted this gorgeous shimmering bird in a store called “When Modern Was.” It is the most amazing antique store. I couldn't resist and so I bought it, hopefully I don’t regret it when I see something else I want and realize I can’t get it because I bought this little bird. :)
